The Sarasota Herald - Tribune is seeking an Assistant District Manger to work within our Distribution Department. This opportunity is responsible for orientating carrier prospects, delivering newspapers not currently under contract, working with current contractors on improving service metrics and assisting with any questions or concerns contractors may have. This role is vital to ensure our customers receive correct and timely delivery of the products they have purchased. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating and delivering products anywhere throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. This opportunity is not solely office related, you will spend most of your time in the field delivering newspapers, assisting contractors and verifying product. Assistant District Managers will be teamed with a District Manager to learn the beginning steps of how to become a District Manager. This training will include becoming familiar with the warehouse operation, email, paperwork, site specific applications and software. Assistant District Managers will also learn how to set up and run the distribution center, load and unload trailers, stack out carrier products for delivery and assist in all other areas as needed. This individual will conduct themselves in accordance with company policies and procedures; ensure quality customer service and professional representation when dealing with customers, retailers or the general public; use sound judgment and discretion at all times.Qualified candidates will be able to work 3rd shift hours with weekends required and Holidays as needed.
