Elementary Teacher - CE Cole Intermediate School
Current PA Teaching Certification in Pk-4 or Pk-6 required.
The teacher will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students in an elementary classroom, planning and delivering instruction across core subjects, assessing student progress, and promoting social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
• Teach core subjects - reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods, materials, and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Establish and enforce rules, expectations, and routines to foster respect and cooperation.
• Address disciplinary issues promptly and constructively.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress on a regular basis.
• Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare report cards and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
• Promote social skills, emotional well-being, and positive behavior.
• Identify and support students' individual needs, referring to specialists when necessary.
• Work with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance educational outcomes.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and curriculum planning.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, concerns, and successes.
• Provide resources and strategies to support learning at home.
• Plan and participate in extracurricular or school-wide events.
• Maintain records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Required Skills And Qualifications
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in elementary education.
• The candidate must be certificated to teach K - 6 in the state of PA.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners.
• Prior teaching experience or student teaching is preferred but not required.
