Work with high school seniors
Provide information on the college admissions process, financing college, registering for and taking ACT/SAT exams, and completing college applications.

Position Summary:
The Georgia College Advising Corps (GCAC) recruits service-minded recent graduates to support low income, first-generation, and underrepresented students in accessing higher education. We seek individuals with a wide range of academic and professional experiences who are approachable, self-motivated, and deeply committed to expanding college access.
GCAC college advisers serve in public high schools across Georgia, working alongside school counseling staff to guide students through the college admissions process. Advisers help students identify best-fit colleges, complete applications, explore financial aid and scholarship opportunities, prepare for entrance exams, and develop informed postsecondary plans.
Final placement of advisers in schools is determined by program leadership based on overall progammatic need and best fit.
At the University of Georgia, GCAC advisers are part of the national College Advising Corps network, contributing to a broader movement focused on increasing college enrollment and success for students nationwide.
