Job Description
The Manufacturing Associate performs hands-on manufacturing activities, including the production, assembly, soldering, and inspection of cable products and connectors to ensure they meet customer and quality requirements. This role converts raw materials into finished products, follows detailed work instructions and drawings, and uses both manual tools and computer systems to build high-quality assemblies in a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
• Build high‑quality cable and connector assemblies from raw materials while meeting production targets.
• Read and follow job orders, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
• Perform soldering and point‑to‑point cable assembly using hand tools and inspection equipment.
• Conduct in‑process inspections and complete required production and quality documentation.
• Use computer systems to access work instructions and record production data.
• Support assembly, and plating operations based on skills and business needs.
• Operate safely in manufacturing areas, including standing for extended periods and handling chemicals when required.
Essential Skills
• 3+ years manufacturing or production experience
• Soldering or hand‑tool assembly experience
• Ability to read work instructions and perform in‑process inspections
• Accurate measurement skills using basic tools
• Comfortable with computers, data entry, and document navigation
• Willingness to cross‑train and adapt to multiple processes
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Soldering certifications preferred but not required
• Experience with microscope or detailed assembly is a plus
• Cable, connector, or electro‑mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Familiarity with inspection or testing processes is beneficial

Work Environment
This is a clean, organized, and temperature‑controlled manufacturing facility with multiple production areas. Employees may work across departments based on skills, with first shift (6:30am-3pm) and second shift (2:45pm-11pm) options. Overtime is voluntary but periodically expected, and the environment follows professional manufacturing standards with a focus on safety, reliability, and consistent operations.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
