Taproom Assistant Manager

Reports To: Taproom Manager Exemption: Non-Exempt
Position Purpose: The Taproom Assistant Manager will support the Taproom Manager in leading the taproom team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain efficient operations, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. The Assistant Manager will focus on team support, excellent customer service, effective communication, and adherence to company standards and expectations.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Team Support and Leadership:

• Customer Service:
• Always provide excellent customer service, ensuring the highest-quality experience for our guests.
• Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Foster strong relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat visits.
• Assist in training staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Communication and Engagement:
• Engage with all educational resources, beer release information, event information, and lineup note information that is provided.
• Ensure that staff are well-informed and up to date on all relevant information.
• Communicate effectively with the Taproom Manager and other team members.
• Keep the team informed about changes to policies, operations, and events.
• Staff Management:
• Assist the Taproom Manager in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Address performance issues with guidance and support from the Taproom Manager.
• Operations Support:
• Assist in ensuring the taproom has the necessary supplies to run efficiently.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained taproom environment.
• Assist in coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Support inventory management and ordering processes.
Requirements
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in taproom setting or equivalent with an emphasis on team leadership and/or supervisor role.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound judgments.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Desire and ability to become an expert in the field.
