This role focuses on troubleshooting, process improvement, and operational efficiency to maintain reliable production performance while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the transfer of products and processes from R&D into production, ensuring effective implementation, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., Red X, Fishbone, 5 Whys) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage and track operational issues using visual management tools (e.g., scrum boards) to ensure timely escalation and resolution.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and performance data to identify opportunities for quality, yield, and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes based on product requirements, testing needs, and equipment capabilities.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow optimization, equipment layout planning, and process standardization.
• Design and implement testing methods to ensure product and process quality.
• Monitor key operational metrics including on-time delivery, yield, scrap, rework, and waste, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Lead cost improvement projects focused on yield optimization, waste reduction, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop, update, and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Train and support technicians and production teams on new processes, equipment, and process improvements.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities to ensure production equipment remains operational and reliable.
• Lead value stream mapping initiatives to identify and implement Lean manufacturing improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, planning, purchasing, and quality teams to improve operational performance and support customer delivery commitments.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards, including OSHA requirements.
• Promote and support a culture of Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement.
Qualification Experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process improvement, and troubleshooting in a production setting.
Technical Skills
• Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing data and operational metrics to drive improvement initiatives.
• Experience with process development, production support, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
Core Competencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
