🔍 Job Summary
Sigma Inc. is seeking a Filling Technician to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Athens, GA. This role is ideal for candidates with aseptic processing, cleanroom, or biotech/pharma manufacturing experience who are comfortable working in a lab-based, regulated environment .
You will be responsible for operating filling equipment, supporting vaccine production, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and SOP standards .
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor filling machines and production equipment
• Operate autoclaves, dry heat ovens, and canning machines
• Perform aseptic filling and vaccine batching processes
• Operate programmed freezers and pack frozen vaccines for shipment
• Complete batch documentation and quality checks in compliance with cGMP
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and production areas (5S standards)
• Handle materials, supplies, and inventory coordination
• Work safely with liquid nitrogen and cold storage environments
• Perform centrifuge/spinning machine operations
• Troubleshoot equipment issues in collaboration with maintenance teams
• Follow and adhere to SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
✅ Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ year experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or cleanroom manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and cGMP environments
• Experience with autoclaves, filling equipment, or lab machinery is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with batch documentation and good documentation practices (GDP)
• Basic understanding of biology or general science concepts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual accuracy
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including long shifts and rotating days
⭐ Preferred Skills
• Experience in vaccine production or sterile filling
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar systems for batch documentation
• Prior work in regulated environments (FDA, cGMP, GLP)
