Tax Manager
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning activities of our organization, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies. The ideal candidate will lead a team of tax professionals and will be responsible for managing client relationships and providing expert guidance on complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and review the preparation of tax returns, including individual 1040s and corporate tax filings.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
• Strong experience with preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, staying updated on changes to tax laws.
• Prepare and analyze tax provisions and financial statements for accurate reporting.
• Trust and Estate accounting and tax return experience is a plus
• Communicate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide expert advice on tax planning opportunities.
Qualifications
• CPA or EA certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, particularly related to individual and corporate taxes.
• Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
