Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to effectively manage an event of up to 250 people. Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment - Manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts - Oversee food production to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation - Address customer concerns or complaints regarding food quality or service - Implement cost control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability Skills: - Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and practices - Previous experience in food service management within the food industry - Culinary background with a solid understanding of various cooking techniques - Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices If you are passionate about the culinary arts, have strong leadership abilities, and thrive in a dynamic kitchen environment, we would love to hear from you.
