Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to address the unique speech and language needs of students. Create a supportive and inclusive therapeutic environment that fosters communication growth and self-advocacy. Utilize evidence-based practices and multisensory techniques to facilitate language development, articulation, fluency, and communication skills. Collaborate with educators, specialists, and support staff to design and deliver comprehensive intervention programs. Employ assistive technology and adaptive tools effectively to enhance communication experiences for students. Regularly assess student progress using various diagnostic tools and provide individualized feedback to students and parents/guardians. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open lines of communication regarding student progress, accommodations, and strategies. Stay abreast of current research and best practices in speech-language pathology and actively pursue professional development opportunities. Adhere to school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Requirements: Bachelor’s and or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain certification. Specialization or additional training in treating students with speech and language disorders (e.g., ASHA certification, PROMPT, PECS) is highly preferred. Proven experience working with students with speech and language needs in a school setting. In-depth knowledge of language development, articulation, fluency, and evidence-based interventions for speech and language challenges. Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using assistive technology and adaptive tools for students with communication disorders. Dedication to ongoing professional development in the field of speech-language pathology.
