Job Overview The Accounting Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting leadership with financial insights, maintaining strong internal controls, and helping guide the company’s long-term financial health. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a close-knit, family-oriented business environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage the month-end and year-end close processes Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Provide financial analysis and reporting to ownership and senior management Support team development and process improvement Support special projects, system improvements, and strategic initiatives as needed Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience in a mid-size company or family-owned business preferred Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel CPA or CMA designation is a plus Skills & Attributes High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work both strategically and hands-on Clear communicator who can work effectively with owners, leadership, and staff Comfortable in a collaborative, family-oriented culture Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset Work Environment & Benefits Full-time position Competitive compensation and benefits package Opportunity to play a key role in a stable, growing family-owned organization Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $65,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
