Position Summary The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while providing friendly and efficient customer service. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, maintain strong product knowledge, and help create an inviting experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards Educate customers on menu items, including different coffee and tea options and preparation methods Grind and brew coffee, and prepare ingredients for beverages Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, including equipment and utensils Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs as necessary Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently Provide friendly, professional customer service and resolve questions or concerns promptly Stay up to date on current menu items and promotions Follow all health and safety procedures related to food and beverage preparation and service Qualifications High school diploma preferred, but not required Previous barista or customer service experience is preferred, but not required Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and customer service skills Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed Basic math skills for processing cash and card transactions Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position Additional Information This job description is intended to outline the general responsibilities and qualifications of the role.
