Registered Nurse - Primary Stroke Unit
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a 34-bed primary stroke unit. This position involves primary and team nursing responsibilities, focusing on delivering excellent care to stroke patients. As part of the team, your role will encompass both independent and collaborative nursing practices.
Responsibilities
Provide patient-centered care on a primary stroke unit.
Collaborate in a team nursing approach, delegating tasks to nursing assistants as needed.
Conduct vital signs monitoring, glucometer checks, and blood draws with support from the IV team.
Engage with the BERT Team to address patient care needs proactively.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations regarding patient interaction and care procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active and valid RN license in the state.
Experience in a stroke unit or critical care is preferred.
Completion of the Arnot Health Core Competency Exam (required for onboarding).
Proof of necessary vaccinations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB Test, and Fit Test.
Ability to provide a driver's license or state ID.
Schedule / Shift
This position requires overnight shifts from 07:00 PM to 07:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Commitment to 24 guaranteed hours is expected.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
