CEG is seeking an experienced, field‑driven Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site execution of heavy civil and environmental construction projects . This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader who thrives in the field, takes ownership of daily operations, and is accountable for safe, high‑quality production in demanding federal environments.
As a Construction Superintendent at CEG, you will be responsible for directing day‑to‑day field activities, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring work is executed in accordance with contract documents, safety requirements, and federal standards.

What You’ll Do:
Field Leadership & Construction Execution
• Lead all on‑site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
• Direct self‑perform crews, subcontractors, and equipment to meet production goals
• Plan daily and weekly work activities to maintain schedule and momentum
• Solve field issues in real time to avoid delays and rework
Federal Project Operations
• Execute work in compliance with federal contract requirements and site‑specific rules
• Operate effectively on active military installations and secured federal sites
• Coordinate with USACE, NAVFAC, inspectors, and government representatives
• Maintain professionalism in highly regulated environments
Safety, Quality & Compliance
• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, site‑specific, and federal safety standards
• Ensure work meets quality requirements, plans, and specifications
• Support QA/QC inspections, documentation, and corrective actions
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability on site
Coordination & Reporting
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Safety personnel
• Maintain accurate daily reports for labor, equipment, production, and conditions
• Track progress against the plan and communicate issues early
• Support project closeout activities and punch list completion
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in heavy civil or infrastructure construction
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain access to military installations
• Willingness to travel and work on active job sites as required
Preferred Experience & Credentials
• Experience working on federal or Department of Defense projects
• OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification
• USACE CQM certification
• Experience with environmental, earthwork, utilities, or civil infrastructure projects

Compensation & Benefits
• Salary $85,000 - $125,000 per year (commensurate with experience and location)
