About the Position
In this role, you will be responsible for...
Operations, Strategy & Continuous Improvement
•
Lead all warehouse and logistics operations supporting emergency response and daily functions, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and distribution.
•
Oversee inventory strategy (forecasting, stocking levels, lifecycle planning) while ensuring operational readiness and continuity during large-scale incidents.
•
Develop and track performance metrics, while identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Financial Management, Compliance & Risk
•
Manage budgets, expenditures, and forecasting for warehouse operations, ensuring strong cost control and alignment with financial goals.
•
Oversee billing, inventory valuation, procurement planning, and capital replacement strategies.
•
Ensure compliance with financial, safety, and audit standards while identifying and mitigating operational and financial risks.
Team Leadership & Development
•
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
•
Align staffing levels with operational demand while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
•
Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal partners, including procurement activities, contract oversight, and service delivery.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
•
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
•
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
•
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Public Administration, Operations Management, Finance or Accounting, Industrial Management, or a closely related field a nd 4+ years of related work experience.
•
OR: An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be considered, such as: (1) an Associate degree and 6+ years of job-related experience or (2) 8+ years of significant management-level logistics experience.
•
2+ years of supervisory experience required.
•
Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
NOTE: 30 college credits are considered equivalent to one year of college.
The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Organizational Leadership.
•
Professional Certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) / Certified Logistics Technician (CLT), Project Management Professional (PMP), Public-sector procurement certifications (e.g., NIGP).
•
Ability to lead complex warehouse and supply chain operations while thinking strategically - balancing day-to-day execution with long-term planning, emergency readiness, and continuous improvement.
•
Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and inventory valuation, with the ability to use data and metrics to guide decisions, improve efficiency, and ensure fiscal accountability.
•
Proven ability to lead and develop teams while effectively coordinating with vendors, internal partners, and leadership - building relationships, driving accountability, and maintaining high service standards.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years.
CJIS Clearance: The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as part of the hiring process.
Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $77,105.60 – $85,009.60
