This role oversees communications strategy, public relations, workforce programs, and strategic partnerships. The Communications & Workforce Initiatives Officer will provide system-wide leadership to strengthen organizational impact, expand student access to high-value career pathways, and build a strong workforce pipeline.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required, higher degree preferred in related field
• Proven leadership experience in communications, workforce development, and K12 education
• Strong strategic planning, public relations, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives
• Ability to analyze data and drive decision-making
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic communications, including branding, media relations, crisis communications, and executive messaging
• Manage all communication platforms (website, social media, newsletters, presentations) to ensure consistent, high-quality engagement
• Strengthen internal communications and support alignment across leadership, departments, and school sites
• Oversee workforce development programs, including CTAE, Work-Based Learning, Career Pathways, and the Accelerated Career Diploma program
• Drive student recruitment, awareness, and participation in career-focused opportunities
• Build and maintain partnerships with families, employers, school districts, and postsecondary institutions, especially technical colleges
• Monitor program performance and use data to improve outcomes and demonstrate impact
• Supervise communications and workforce development staff and support cross-functional collaboration
• Support board engagement, stakeholder outreach, and major organizational events
