Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with some weekend and holiday work required
Overview
Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an Active Ingredient Technician II. Ideal candidates should have at least a High School Diploma and 1+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
• Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment, utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during process execution
• Assist with training and coaching current and new employees on required skills
• Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances as needed
• Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives
• Assess individual performance in regards to continuous improvement (AAI)
• Support site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Biology degree or related field preferred
• One year or more of laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Knowledge of clean room and aseptic techniques
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability
