Job Summary
Kutztown University invites applications for a Student Success Navigator in the Center for Student Success and Academic Excellence. The Success Navigator will provide individualized and programmatic support services which support the retention efforts of the university and enhance the educational experiences of all students.
• Provides academic support through individual or group sessions to an assigned student caseload.
• Supports the University's early-alert system to identify and retain students at risk.
• Provides accurate and current information to students concerning academic policies and practices and connects with appropriate resources.
• Provides accurate and current pre-advising information utilizing program guides created by faculty so that students are prepared for meetings with faculty advisors.
• Monitors progress of assigned students with check-ins, scheduled meetings, and intrusive follow-up.
• Refers students to appropriate academic personnel and support resources and collaborates with others to monitor and accelerate the academic progress of the students referred.
• Develops and/or implements programs and services related to student success.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of three years of higher education or student services
• Direct experience with retention initiatives
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications
• A master's degree in Student Affairs, Education Administration, Social Work or related area
• Direct experience with assessment best practices in higher education

The starting salary for this position is $54,983.00, based on the SCUPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
