Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Cobot Robotic Weld Operator-Technician-III-2nd Shift.
The rate for this position is $20.94 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
The Robotic Weld Cell Operator is responsible for operating and supporting a collaborative (cobot) welding cell. This role ensures product quality through proper machine operation, inspections, and part measurements, while also identifying process improvements and completing required daily maintenance activities.
• Operate collaborative welding robots (cobots) to produce high-quality welds on a variety of workpieces.
• Set up, start, change over, and shut down cobot welding operations according to established procedures.
• Fabricate components from steel, aluminum, and cast metals by following blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Perform metal joining and cutting operations using cobots, ensuring accurate execution of programmed weld paths.
• Inspect welded products for quality and verify dimensions using tape measures and calipers.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in root cause analysis for quality or production issues.
• Complete daily TPM and 5S maintenance tasks using established checklists.

Qualifications:
Basic:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Preferred:
• Experience as a machine operator or a graduate of a machine certificate program.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, including standard punch and bend tooling and processes.
• Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, or operating instructions.
• Experience with measuring devices (tape measure and calipers).
• Experience with ERP systems including DMM and AS-400.
Position Criteria:
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
• Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills
• Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
• Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds .
