Job Summary
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The English Department at Kutztown University invites applications for multiple temporary, part-time positions in Composition in Fall 2026. Positions comprise up to two sections of Composition 100 in the Fall. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly/professional growth; and service.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's degree in English, Composition, Writing, Communications, or a related field is required. Two years of teaching experience in Composition or First-Year writing are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of full-time teaching, including Composition or First-year writing, is preferred.
