Job Summary
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations.
The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Kutztown University invites applications for the following part-time temporary positions:
• one half-time temporary position for 2026-2027 (6 credit hours (2 classes) per semester.
• one quarter-time to half-time temporary position for 2026-2027 (3-6 credit hours (1-2 classes) per semester).
• one half-time temporary position for spring 2027 (6 credit hours (2 classes)).
• one quarter-time temporary position for spring 2027 (3 credit hours (1 class)).
The department is passionate about student learning and enjoys small class sizes. This position is to teach 100% in person classes; it is not an online teaching position. Teaching will include introductory programming, IT systems, ethics, and related courses, as well as other departmental courses, for majors and non-majors.In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly/professional growth; and service.
Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with some college-level teaching or industry experience.

A successful interview and demonstration of teaching ability are required.
