Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Aide to join our team of caring professionals at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab Center. As an Activities Aide, you will provide therapeutic activities to residents, designed to meet their individual needs and interests, and promote physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out individual and group activities that meet the functional levels, needs, and interests of each resident
• Provide activities to residents requiring individual interventions, adapting activities to match cognitive and physical functional levels
• Complete documentation for assigned residents with quality insight, accurate information, and in a timely manner
• Maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
• Show respect for the opinions of others and behave in such a way as to ensure an atmosphere free of needless interruptions, difficulty, and/or discrimination
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Education in a related field, certification as an Activities Professional, and/or experience with older adults helpful
