COMPUTER TECHNICIAN: Summer Internship
Technical Support Position – Not Data Entry
• Responsibilities/Job Duties
• Performs required maintenance on computer systems within the district.
• Respond to support requests and assist in troubleshooting any problems that arise.
• Setting up or repairing computer hardware and other associated devices such as printers, interactive panels, and scanners.
• Identifying and resolving connectivity issues.
• Upgrading firmware, software, and outdated hardware systems.
• Help maintain inventory and documentation in One to One.
• Required Qualifications/Skills
• High school diploma, and college experience or relevant certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts, devices, and security.
• Knowledge of the Windows and Chrome operating system.
• Basic knowledge of educational and business software applications to support staff and students: • Microsoft Office Suite
• Common Internet Browsers
• E-Mail software (Gmail)
• Common multimedia software applications and tools
• Must have a good basic knowledge on proper use of hand tools.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with people.
• Ability to work independently in solving problems.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks and maintaining focus while working in a dynamic environment.
• Must be responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and able to work under stressful conditions.
• Follow directions well.
• Must be willing to ask questions and seek feedback on performance.
• Willing to learn on the go and assist with tasks regardless of size and solving issues.
• Understand the importance of working safely and within departmental guidelines.
• Conforms to District 50's security and confidentiality policies.
III.  Physical and Other Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Capable of crawling under desks and tables as needed to access equipment.
• Transportation is required to perform job functions.
EMPLOYMENT: Summer Internship
SALARY RANGE: $15.00/hour
