Location: Athens, Georgia (Onsite)

Schedule: 5 Days / Week (8-Hour Shifts)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Shift Details
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• 40 Hours per Week
The Nuclear Medicine Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to evaluate and diagnose patient conditions. This role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety through adherence to radiation protocols.
The technician will collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver accurate imaging and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Imaging
• Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures
• Position patients accurately for imaging
• Operate gamma cameras and imaging equipment
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images
Radiopharmaceutical Handling
• Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals
• Follow established protocols for safe handling
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards
Monitoring & Documentation
• Ensure accurate documentation and submission to PACS
• Maintain image quality with correct patient data and markers
• Monitor patient condition during procedures
Equipment & Safety
• Ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly
• Report malfunctions and perform lock/tag procedures when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as Nuclear Medicine Technician
• Experience with radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration
• Knowledge of radiation safety procedures
• Experience with PACS and imaging systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in hospital or acute care settings
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT/ARRT-N)
