Job Description
The Manufacturing Associate performs hands-on manufacturing activities, including the production, assembly, soldering, and inspection of cable products and connectors to ensure they meet customer and quality requirements. This role converts raw materials into finished products, builds to standard production rates, and uses both manual tools and computer systems to support high-quality, repeatable manufacturing processes in a clean, organized facility.
Responsibilities
• Manufacture and inspect high‑quality cable assemblies by converting raw materials into finished products that meet customer and internal quality standards.
• Read and interpret drawings, job orders, and work instructions to accurately build point‑to‑point cables, connectors, and soldered assemblies.
• Use hand tools, measurement equipment, and computer systems to safely perform assembly, inspections, and required production documentation.
• Conduct in‑process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, appearance, and functional performance.
• Cross‑train and support multiple production areas (assembly, UTiFLEX, plating), following all safety, quality, and process guidelines.
• Maintain an organized work area, communicate production status and issues, and contribute to continuous improvement and team success.
Essential Skills
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with hands‑on soldering and assembly, preferably cable or connector assemblies.
• Skilled with hand tools, basic measurement equipment, and performing in‑process inspections with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computer systems for work instructions, documentation, and data entry while following standardized processes.
• Flexible, reliable team player able to cross‑train, adapt to changing priorities, stand for extended periods, and work scheduled shifts or overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience using microscopes or magnifiers for detailed assembly, experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Experience with inspection assembly work or quality checks in a production environment.
• Experience supporting machine-based processes, such as those used in UTiFLEX cable manufacturing.
• Any prior soldering certifications are helpful but not required for this role.
• Interest in career growth into inspection, testing, or other advanced manufacturing areas.

Work Environment
This is an in‑house manufacturing role in a stable, growing operation with record performance. Employees work in a clean, well‑organized, temperature‑controlled facility with clearly defined workspaces, shared metrics displayed throughout the floor, and a dedicated cafeteria. The operation includes multiple specialized production cells such as machining, plating, assembly, UTiFLEX, inspection, and warehouse, which supports a collaborative team of roughly 115 employees across first and second shifts. New hires train on first shift for 1–3 months before transitioning to their assigned shift. The role may involve standing for extended periods, using hand tools, soldering and measurement equipment, microscopes, and computer systems. Standard manufacturing attire is required, with a strong emphasis on safety, attendance, and reliable shift coverage. Overtime is available as business needs require.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
