Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Bather to join our pet care team. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the bathing process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent animal handling skills, and experience in pet bathing or Kennel settings. Duties Bathing and Drying dogs according to breed standards and client preferences Handling animals safely and gently during bathing, drying, and grooming procedures Restraining animals securely while performing grooming tasks to ensure safety for both pet and staff pet care routines, including nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing Maintaining cleanliness of grooming areas and equipment after each session Monitoring dogs for signs of stress or discomfort and addressing their needs appropriately Providing excellent customer service Assisting Groomer with animal handling as needed during grooming or other procedures Heavy lifting of animals or equipment may be required occasionally Experience Prior experience in pet bathing, animal handling, or kennel settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and kennel experience is a plus . Familiarity with animal restraint methods, kennel procedures, and pet sitting is beneficial Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats, or equines demonstrates versatility in animal care skills Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting professionally with clients Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately while maintaining a calm demeanor during grooming sessions Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and stand for extended periods This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal care who want to contribute to the well-being of pets through professional bathing services.
