JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Ancillary Services Director, the Security & Hospitality Manager has the responsibility to manage and oversee the operations of resident transportation, security and concierge services in accordance with Village On The Isles values, policies, procedures and current regulations. Departmentally serving as the first point of contact and initial ambassador to Village on the Isle, playing a vital role in creating a positive first impression. The Security & Hospitality Manager respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff. Ensures that the safety, security and operations of resident transportation services are maintained at all times. This is a safety sensitive position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS It is understood that every incidental duty connected with operations listed in the job description is not always specifically described, and that employees, at the discretion of management, may be required to perform duties not within their job descriptions. Supervises, manages and develops all members of the Security, Concierge and Transportation teams. Plan and coordinate the operations of the Transportation and Security departments in an effort to promote a progressive customer service culture. Establishes work procedures for staff and works with appropriate staff to plan all work schedules to ensure adequate service to all areas on campus. Meets with other members of the Leadership and Executive teams to coordinate activities involving Transportation and Security staff. Prepares and adjusts schedules to ensure adequate transportation, security and concierge coverage. Standardizes the method in which work assignments will be accomplished. Conducts staff meetings and in-service trainings for all staff. Conducts at a minimum, quarterly, Customer Service Training. Completes annual employee performance evaluations. Conducts regular patrols and inspections of all buildings, grounds and transportation vehicles. Observes, reports and documents all suspicious activities in Incident Reports. Compiles and submits daily report of activities to the Ancillary Services Director. Notifies Facilities of any maintenance safety hazards. Supports law enforcement and emergency personnel on campus. Conducts hand and visual checks of doors, windows and other areas that should be locked and secured. Works safely and complies with all Village On The Isle safety protocol and standards. Attends and participates in in-service trainings and serves on various in-house committees. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. Coordinates and assigns employee and resident parking. Coordinates and maintains all radio/telephone/communications systems. Ensures departments are within budget. It is not a requirement to be Lutheran to work at Village On The Isle. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Proof of COVID-19 vaccine is required as a condition of employment while the CMS regulation is in effect. Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or certification as a security officer; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years of management experience Background in law enforcement or military, preferred Valid drivers license and be insurable by the designated carrier. Maintain minimum eligibility requirements on driving record. Strong customer service skills Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite
Salary: $58,000 - $66,500 a year
