Job Title: Project Architect
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect with 10-15 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong BIM and AutoCAD skills and have a proven track record of producing construction documents for structural steel, tilt-wall concrete, insulated metal panel, and commercial masonry buildings. This role involves supporting expereinced staff in various project requirements, including researching and applying zoning and building codes, preparing design drawings and specifications, coordinating with engineering disciplines, and integrating tenant-interior and core-shell documents.
Responsibilities
• Support experienced staff to meet project requirements.
• Research and apply zoning and building codes.
• Prepare design drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines.
• Integrate tenant-interior and core-shell documents.
• Participate in technical discussions with project teams.
• Submit documents for permitting and respond to review comments.
• Assist with construction observations to ensure compliance.
• Grow the architectural market in Baltimore in areas such as Mission Critical, Higher Education, Healthcare, and Back-up Generation clients.
• Oversee fiscal responsibility, contract management, project delivery/design, and business development.
Essential Skills
• 10-15 years of experience in architecture.
• Strong skills in BIM and AutoCAD.
• Experience with industrial warehouse and distribution, especially with IMP walls, freezer/cooler facilities, or cross-dock buildings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Professional degree in architecture or a related field.
• Experience with Revit.
• Experience in project management.
• Interest in contributing to a startup approach/mentality.
Work Environment
You will join a dynamic team in a 450-person firm with 400 employees in the US and 50 in India. The Baltimore office, located in Brewers Hill, is a brand-new space currently staffed by 6 MEP engineers, with plans to grow to 12 people within the next year. Headquarters are in Minneapolis, with additional support from offices in Ft Worth and Miami. The firm works with national clients such as Whole Foods, Walmart, and Target and is looking to expand its client base in Baltimore in sectors like Mission Critical, Higher Education, Healthcare/Hospital, and Federal Government. Everyone in the firm receives a bonus, and there is a strong name brand recognition nationwide.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
