Developing long-term Category strategies that align supplier capabilities with business goals.Job DescriptionLeads assigned Category(s) in order to maximize value, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.Leads execution of procurement tasks; including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and program implementation.Works with cross-functional teams to qualify and approve suppliers to fulfill business needs.Takes action on the changes identified in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure a successful category strategy and procurement process.Controls spend and builds a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.Responds to critical supplier issues and problems.Builds and executes Request for Proposals (RFPs) in support of the overall Category strategy.Responsible for the negotiation and execution of desired payment terms and conditions with suppliers.Conducts strategic sourcing activities to support secondary sourcing and new product development.Analyzes contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.Executes Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with suppliers.Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree3+ years of experience in Category Leadership, Procurement, and / or Sourcing3+ years of experience using supply chain management software and tools, including JDE, Oracle, or SAP.3+ years of experience preparing and reviewing contracts and negotiating terms Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or BusinessMasters degree in Supply Chain Management or Business5+ years of progressive experience in Category Leadership, Procurement, and / or SourcingProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksHighly organized, result driven and detail-orientedExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills  Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually.
