Estimates and Prior Authorization Supervisor
The Estimates & Prior Authorization Supervisor provides operational leadership and subject-matter oversight for all professional billing prior authorization and patient estimate activities. This role ensures timely authorization approval, accurate patient financial estimates, and compliance with payer, CMS, and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor serves as a key front-end revenue protection leader, reducing avoidable denials, delayed reimbursement, and patient billing complaints.
Required Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in professional billing, prior authorizations, patient estimates, or revenue cycle operations
• Strong knowledge of payer authorization requirements and benefit structures
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Experience with EHR/billing systems (Epic preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a multi-specialty physician billing environment
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer authorization rules
• Experience supporting specialty or high-volume practices
