Job Title: 1st Shift - Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
Prepare, control, and coordinate daily maintenance work executed by a team or contractors to maintain and improve safe and reliable operation of the production process and other activities within the plant. Supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians on day-to-day preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, coordinate, and control daily maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and instrumentation maintenance and repair to assure high productivity, quality, and safety.
• Supervise a team to maintain and increase safety, efficiency, and skills, promoting a cooperative attitude with subordinates.
• Train others on all applicable equipment and instruments.
• Assist and advise in the installation of new equipment to obtain required reliability for electrical/instrumental equipment operations. Ensure preventative maintenance is planned and carried out.
• Participate in the execution of maintenance and capital projects, such as shutdowns and plant modifications.
• Supervise suppliers'/contractors' day-to-day activities and participate in vendor assessments. Ensure contractors comply with site safety and other procedures.
• Ensure maximum plant availability through the use of established reliability principles.
• Responsible for ISO documentation updates.
• Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees.
Essential Skills
• Knowledge and ability in Maintenance Crafts.
• Knowledge of confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hot work permitting, etc.
• Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
• Understanding of General Manufacturing Process.
• Knowledge and ability in Accident/Near Miss Investigation/Reporting procedures.
• Knowledge of Environmental Awareness.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of five years plant process experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and work instructions.
• Troubleshooting, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Preventive Maintenance, Blueprint, Schematic knowledge.
• Welding, steel fabrication, pipe fitting, millwright, rigging, and pump rebuilding.
• Knowledge of computers, PLC operations, ability to read work instructions and P&ID's.
• Initiative, working with others, and dealing with people.
• Motor coordination, ability to plan activities, memory of written directions, following precise standards.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Boyertown, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
