Whether managing sales transactions, merchandising products, or engaging with shoppers through product demos and upselling, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays to enhance store presentation Conduct product demos to educate customers about featured items and encourage sales through upselling techniques Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store environment, including merchandising and inventory management Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about store hours, product availability, or special events Support inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking new items, and conducting stock counts as needed Requirements Previous retail experience preferred, especially in gift shops or thrift stores; supervisory experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and sales calculations Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings (nice-to-have) Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stock shelves, and assist with product demos confidently Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory counts Experience working in grocery or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory Flexibility to work PRN (as needed) hours in a fast-paced retail setting Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable shopping experiences!
