The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination of IFS product shipments in an expedient and cost-effective manner. We offer competitive pay and a great benefits package. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Negotiate cost effective freight rates with carriers and brokers (working with Freight Desk) Track and report all freight costs (daily, monthly, quarterly) Process & track all freight claims with carriers. Schedule and coordinate all outgoing freight (TL, LTL, and customer pick ups) Review and prepare all open orders for shipment in Wisys. Print and issue all shipping documents required for shipment (pick tickets, bills of lading, export documentation, etc.) Works closely with customer service and production departments to ensure timely completion of outgoing shipments. Receive and validate all incoming shipments and customer returns Ensure shipping department follows established standard operation procedures. Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely and accurate transactions from shipping personnel. Support inventory accuracy by participating in cycle/inventory counts. Supervise warehouse personnel to ensure orders are picked, staged, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner. Provide ongoing training to warehouse personnel. Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner and in coordination with customer service. Participate in process improvement planning and ISO documentation management. Various office administration duties such as filing, delivery appointments, address carrier calls, etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 5-7 years in supply chain experience with a concentration in shipping and warehouse supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Must be detail oriented. Must have moderate computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, with the ability to use databases and ERP systems. Must be a team player. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Must wear required safety PPE. Unrestricted ability to use hands and reach with hands and arms. Unrestricted ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance. Ability to continuously lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures. Noise level is usually loud.
