Plumber & Boiler repair Location: 1161 Park Rd Rear, Bandon, PA. 19510 Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, plus one half-day on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM The pay rate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skills, and will be discussed during the interview. Position Purpose: To provide essential plumbing and heating maintenance services for the mushroom farm’s facilities. The role includes diagnosing and repairing plumbing and heating systems, ensuring all plumbing infrastructure operates efficiently, and supporting the daily operations of the farm. Key Responsibilities: Perform plumbing and heating repairs in response to any faults reported, diagnosing issues and replacing defective parts as needed. Re-instate disconnected systems and ensure the ongoing functionality of plumbing systems. Assist with annual maintenance tasks, including servicing heating systems and boilers, cleaning, and replacing parts. Maintain records of repair works, work orders, and any maintenance performed. Provide input and feedback on system performance to the Maintenance Supervisor, identifying areas for improvement and recurring issues. Monitor and conduct preventive maintenance of boilers and heating equipment, as required. Work to ensure plumbing systems are operational for the farm's smooth production and processing of mushrooms. Support the setup, shutdown, and maintenance of heating equipment as needed for production schedules. Participate in routine safety and maintenance meetings to discuss issues, concerns, and improvements. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls from farm production or maintenance supervisors. Maintain effective communication with team members and management regarding plumbing and heating concerns and improvements. Assist with ensuring plumbing systems adhere to farm health and safety standards. Performance Expectations: Ensure work is performed according to current health and safety legislation. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency. Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Experience in Plumbing's apprentice. Experience with basic boiler operations and hydronic heating systems. Ability to drive company vehicles to different farm facilities for maintenance work. Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including water heaters, circulator pumps, commodes, sinks, and waste lines. Must be familiar with a variety of pipe types and materials, including copper, galvanized, stainless steel, PVC, and PEX. Knowledge of safety protocols, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and plumbing tools. Basic computer knowledge is beneficial. Bilingual skills are a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with team members. Physical Demands: Ability to move around the farm facilities to perform plumbing and heating system repairs and maintenance. Ability to ascend and descend structures as required for maintenance tasks. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
