Duties Lead and coordinate daily clinical operations across various departments, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care. Supervise nursing staff, including RNs and LPNs, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing training. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for diverse patient populations. Manage medical records using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; ensure proper ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for billing and documentation accuracy. Facilitate patient intake processes, discharge planning, and follow-up care to optimize recovery and satisfaction. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, sterile processing standards, and safety procedures, including airway management and catheter care. Coordinate emergency responses, including acute pain management, ventilator support, or trauma situations in accordance with Level I Trauma Center standards. Support quality improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data related to medical-surgical care, geriatrics, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s), hospice services, or pediatric cases such as NICU or PICU. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including NCQA standards and HIPAA privacy rules. Experience Valid RN or LPN licensure with current state registration; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are required. Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting—preferably within hospitals (including ICU or emergency room), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Extensive critical care experience, including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I or II), or cardiac catheterization units. Proven ability to manage complex cases involving infectious disease care, pain management, IV infusion therapy (including IV insertion), tube feeding, or dialysis support. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Axiscare. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring dementia/memory care services. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology principles, diagnostic evaluation techniques like sonography, and laboratory testing procedures. Strong organizational skills in discharge planning, case management, medication administration (including injections), and documentation accuracy. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as hospital medicine units or urgent care settings while maintaining a positive attitude.
