Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as part of our weekend program, working twelve-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 pm- 7:00 am. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in a long-term care setting, Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, to support clinical assessments. Provide compassionate care to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or behavioral health conditions. Document patient information meticulously within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Point Click Care to ensure accurate medical records management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as Physical Therapy to deliver comprehensive patient service. Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hygiene protocols and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to assist with patient transfers safely and effectively. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures. Experience with EMR/EHR systems, including Point Click Care, for accurate documentation. Familiarity with specialized care areas such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care or behavioral health is highly desirable. Ability to work twelve-hour shifts on weekends. Strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
