Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in a part-time capacity. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. The position involves working evening hours from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and long-term care settings, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to improve patient well-being. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to prescribed protocols and safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control procedures and aseptic techniques. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely while respecting patient dignity. Document patient care activities accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Skills Proven experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with Point Click Care for accurate documentation. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments. Compassionate caregiving approach with excellent communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s), or memory care is highly desirable.
