UTILITIES EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION DEPOSIT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - HOURS: 8AM - 5PM M-F FULL TIME Position Summary This position is accountable for processing mailed deposits and payment submissions, processing returned items, handling member contact and performing daily clerical tasks required to assure efficient service to Credit Union deposit account members. This position is also responsible for training others on associated job functions. Skills/Duties/Education Required Skills/Abilities: • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and follow through to resolution in a timely manner. • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. • Ability to work independently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry and inquiry. • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and organizational skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff on all levels (written, verbal and active listening). • Good mathematical aptitude and basic accounting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Process mailed deposit and payment items. Prepare both mailed and over-the-counter deposits and payment for deposit to our correspondent bank. This includes reconciling teller totals to cash checks received and scanning items. • Process returns items resulting from bank deposit. Distribute loan and Visa payment returns to appropriate area. Education: Minimum 2 years of financial institution experience, High School Graduate.
