Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Police Officer based in Athens, GA. Police Officers will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and building trust with the community. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, conducting criminal investigations, collecting and securing evidence, and patrolling designated areas. Officers are also expected to collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and assist in community-oriented policing initiatives.
Qualifications
• Practical knowledge and skills in Law Enforcement, including familiarity with legal protocols and procedures
• Experience in handling Evidence and understanding of evidence preservation and documentation practices
• Skills in conducting Criminal Investigations and identifying case details
• Previous experience as a Police Officer or in related police operations will be advantageous
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and decision-making skills during high-pressure situations
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse communities
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the department’s physical fitness standards
