Position Overview: Manufacturing Technician – Vaccine Filling
Sigma, Inc. is recruiting a Manufacturing Technician for a 12-month contract at a leading vaccine manufacturing facility in Athens, GA. This onsite role provides an opportunity to contribute directly to the production and delivery of vaccines in a regulated environment while supporting team operations and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations:

Perform filling and support activities to ensure successful production of vaccines.

Operate automated filling equipment safely and in accordance with process requirements.

Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functioning.

Process Compliance & Documentation:

Complete all associated documentation in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Monitor production Key Performance Indicators and strive for continuous improvement.

Escalate events, process deviations, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Workplace Safety & Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Demonstrate commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) principles, Lean practices, and company values.

Team Collaboration & Communication:

Communicate process needs, progress, and challenges to colleagues and supervisors.

Collaborate effectively within the filling department and cross-functional teams to support operational goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform basic inventory transactions.

Support assigned duties or projects as appropriate within the position scope.
Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; B.S. degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience operating automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word).

Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with automated equipment.

Skills:

Strong team player with effective verbal and written communication.

Basic math skills and attention to detail.
