Job Description
University Cancer & Blood Center is hiring for a Medical Assistant for our Clinical team. This position is Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for our Athens location with travel to Toccoa on Thursday. (Travel time and mileage for travel)
Meets and greets patients.
Obtains appropriate patient information and medical history.
Accurately completes and documents patient medical and physical histories and other related items in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR);
Accurately Records vital signs.
Aids in the collection of blood when needed
Reviews next day schedule to ensure all testing is completed.
Prepares and maintains examination rooms
Maintains examination/treatment rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist providers in bone marrow biopsies
Requirements
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred or EMT
• Previous medical experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to work individually and as a team.
• A positive attitude is a must!
