We celebrate our associates.Under the guidance of a licensed funeral director, implements choices made by the families’ legal representatives regarding the funeral, final disposition of the body and memorialization of the individual. Provides customer service in all areas of funeral arrangements, cremation ceremonies and internment to assist families following the loss of a loved one. Provides exemplary personalized and professional service.Cares for deceased in a respectful manner while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation processReceives remains and ensures all documentation is complete and visual identification of the deceased is complete and accurate.Completes all required documentation with respect to cremation process and equipment maintenanceAdheres to all professional, municipal, state/provincial and federal licensing authority regulations applicable to the cremation of human remainsAdheres to all applicable policies and proceduresMaintains all Company logs/reports and required state-specific reportsMaintains all chain of custody paperworkPromotes a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conductMaintains the crematorium, equipment and adjacent facilitiesMay deliver/release cremated remains to appropriate funeral home or proper authorityOther duties as directed by managementMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.  Completion of a formal program at a college or technical school specializing in funeral service or mortuary science where required by state law.ExperienceMinimum one to three months experience as an apprenticeCertification/LicensesCertified Crematory Operator as required by state law; valid driver’s license required if performing removals and transfers of bodies and delivering cremated remainsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliar with the basic operation of industrial equipment to include basic trouble-shooting skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to maintain effective relationships with all affiliates and/or third partiesGood communication skillsHigh level of compassion and integrityProblem solving skillsAbility to multi task and set prioritiesDetail orientedPostal Code: 19601Category (Portal Searching): OperationsJob Location: US-PA - Reading
