Position Overview The Operations Manager at Athens Chick-fil-A plays a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional restaurant operations and guest experiences. This individual is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, leading team members, maintaining Chick-fil-A brand standards, and developing a high-performing team culture.
The Operations Manager works closely with the leadership team to drive operational excellence, support team development, and ensure our restaurants operate efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, speed, and accuracy in service.
• Maintain high standards for food safety, quality, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Chick-fil-A policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders.
• Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, and performance development.
• Help cultivate a positive, service-focused culture within the restaurant.
Guest Experience
• Ensure every guest receives remarkable service.
• Address and resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Promote a culture of hospitality that reflects Chick-fil-A values.
Operational Systems & Performance
• Assist in managing labor, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper product management.
• Support implementation of operational systems and process improvements.
Leadership Support
• Collaborate with the Operator and senior leadership team to execute business strategies.
• Support special projects, initiatives, and store-wide goals.
• Serve as a role model for the Chick-fil-A mission and values.
Qualifications • Previous restaurant or retail management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to hospitality and exceptional guest service.
• Availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.
Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and restaurant environment.
