Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Audit Staff professional to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their public accounting career who is looking for strong mentorship, structured development, and exposure to a wide range of client industries. You will support audit engagements for private companies and nonprofit organizations while building a strong technical foundation in auditing and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities • Assist in planning and executing audit engagements across multiple industries.
• Perform substantive testing, internal control evaluations, and detailed reviews of client financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and applicable regulations.
• Prepare audit documentation and draft reports for review by senior team members.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior staff and client personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and identify opportunities for client improvement.
• Stay current on accounting and auditing standards as well as industry best practices.
Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is preferred.
• Solid understanding of auditing principles and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with private company or nonprofit audits is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
