Role Overview
The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring our operations run efficiently by translating customer demand into clear, executable production schedules. This position partners closely with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to balance production priorities, plant capacity, inventory levels, and customer commitments.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and organizational skills, along with the ability to make informed scheduling decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively across teams, and proactively identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules to support customer demand, plant capacity, and inventory requirements.
• Provide Operations with clear production priorities and efficient line cards to ensure smooth and effective production execution.
• Monitor inventory levels and work-in-progress (WIP) to adjust schedules and support order fulfillment goals.
• Communicate real-time production updates and potential customer impacts to Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Warehouse, and Transportation teams.
• Analyze customer shortages and schedule attainment , identifying root causes and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Monitor customer requests for order changes or add-ons , providing feedback on availability and adjusting schedules when appropriate.
• Support the outsourced products process , including coordinating purchase orders, shipments, pick-ups, and receipts.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve plant floor processes, scheduling tools, and overall supply chain performance.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field , or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or supply chain operations.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, and inventory management principles.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills , with the ability to evaluate data and make informed scheduling decisions.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain.
• Solid communication skills , with the ability to share timely and accurate information across multiple teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) ; experience working with ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
