What We Look For In a MPJE Tutor
• Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of MPJE examination content covering federal pharmacy law, state-specific pharmacy regulations, controlled substance requirements, prescription requirements, pharmacist responsibilities, and pharmacy practice standards. Ability to explain DEA scheduling requirements, state board of pharmacy regulations, and pharmacy technician supervision rules while preparing pharmacists for state-specific jurisprudence licensure.
• Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching federal versus state pharmacy law comparison, controlled substance regulation application, and professional responsibility scenarios for MPJE. Guides students through applying DEA regulations, interpreting state pharmacy practice acts, understanding prescription transfer rules, and navigating scope of practice boundaries. Emphasizes distinguishing federal minimum standards from state-specific stricter requirements.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with MPJE content and common challenges such as distinguishing federal from state requirements, memorizing controlled substance schedules, and applying pharmacy law to ambiguous practice scenarios. Adapts instruction using state-specific law summaries, federal pharmacy law review, and practice examinations to support PharmD graduates preparing for pharmacy jurisprudence licensure in specific states.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
