Job Summary
Available Surg Tech Opportunities:
• Full-Time Evening Shift (3PM-11:30PM); Weekend, Holiday and Call Rotation
• Full-Time Day Shift (Varied Start); Weekend, Holiday and Call Rotation
The Surgical Tech
• Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team.
• Responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
• 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
Certification and Licensure
• BLS Certification
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT (New grads must obtain within 6 months of graduation)
Required Skills

Overview
Reading Hospital is a Center for Bariatric Surgery, total joints, cardiac, DaVinci Robot, ENT, Ortho, GYN, Breast Stereotaxic program and a Level I Trauma Center caring for 17,000 patients undergoing surgical procedures each year. Reading Hospital has 24 operating rooms, 4 with hybrid capabilities, including robotic surgery. Advancements in spinal surgery including minimally invasive procedures along with Stealth guided navigation system for brain surgery and shunt placement are found in our ORs.
