The Assistant Aquatic Manager works alongside the Aquatic Manager and the General Manager to lead the Aquatic staff, ensuring excellent customer service, quality swim lessons, and a safe facility. You’ll balance hands-on coaching in the pool with leadership and operational oversight , shaping the culture and performance of the school. Availability/ Schedule: Availability to work full-time (36 to 40 hours per week) Schedule requires Saturday shift Required Skills: 2 years experience working in a business environment, with experience in operations, management, and team building Experience working with children (i.e. sports coach, camp counselor, etc.) Previous swim instruction, lifeguard, aquatics, or swim coach experience is a plus, but not required Ability to multitask, manage workload, and prioritize tasks independently Ability to manage conflict and customer follow-up Relate well to children, parents, team members, and demonstrate superior communication and interpersonal skills Intermediate level computer skills using Word, Excel, and other software systems Welcoming, friendly, and helpful personality Willingness to learn and accept feedback Job Responsibilities: Partner with Aquatic Manager and General Manger to lead a team of up to 20 employees Develop & foster a positive, fun, collaborative work culture that is committed to exceptional swim lessons Address customer concerns timely and effectively Help to review and manage employee schedules Help facilitate weekly Aquatic Assessments and check-ins Help conduct weekly Leadership Meetings and monthly in-service meetings Assist Aquatic Manager with general pool maintenance, pool chemical safety and testing the water chemistry Ensure the aquatic safety of teammates and families Wow us with your experience and cover letter to guarantee a response!
