Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning in line with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and active participation among preschool and toddler-aged children. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Engage children in hands-on activities that support developmental milestones, including early intervention strategies when needed. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor each child's progress, providing updates on developmental milestones and learning goals. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable, to track student growth and inform instruction. Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate. Maintain detailed lesson plans, classroom records, and child welfare documentation in compliance with licensing requirements. Support children's emotional well-being by fostering strong communication skills and social skills development. Ensure adherence to childcare regulations, health & safety protocols, and daycare policies at all times. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and early intervention techniques. Experience developing curriculum content across literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for toddlers and preschoolers. Previous work in private schools or daycare environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures for early childhood assessment is a plus. Experience working with children with special needs or in special education settings will be considered an advantage.
