Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction management team. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating and overseeing various phases of construction projects in the manufacturing industry (mostly food), ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise will drive project success by managing schedules, budgets, and technical documentation while collaborating effectively with contractors, clients, and internal teams. Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely project delivery. Assist in preparing accurate construction estimates by utilizing estimating tools, supporting budgeting processes from inception to completion. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings such as Civil 3D files to facilitate precise execution of design intent on-site. Coordinate project activities by collaborating with customers (plant engineers, plant managers, maintenance managers and supervisors) and suppliers to streamline workflows and resolve issues proactively. Monitor construction site activities for compliance with safety standards, contract specifications, and quality control measures. Support contract administration by reviewing contracts, change orders, and ensuring adherence to project scope and timelines. Manage project documentation including reports, logs, incident reports, and progress updates to keep all stakeholders informed. Contribute to project scheduling efforts by updating timelines regularly and adjusting plans as necessary to meet project milestones. Assist in resolving on-site challenges through effective communication and problem-solving skills while maintaining a focus on safety and quality. Skills Proficiency with AutoCad 2D, 3D is a plus Strong understanding of construction estimating techniques and cost control measures. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of contracts management including review and compliance monitoring. Excellent project scheduling capabilities with a focus on time management and resource allocation. Construction site experience with a solid grasp of safety protocols and site operations. Effective communication skills for coordination among diverse teams including contractors, clients, and internal staff. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
